If only you
were a book
So I'd be able
to read you
But the
preface would be longer
Than the story
itself
I'd flip through your pages day and night
Until the edges are worn and torn
Until I've memorized every word
So that I’d be able to know
Exactly what page you’re on
When you speak
Maybe then I’ll be able to understand…
Why you don’t like to share your thoughts
Because a book can’t open on its own
Until someone picks it up

She was a girl who hated everything
and he was a boy who fell in love too fast
Two broken children happened to meet
in a world that's so vast
She thought she could keep on living
with only hate and the emotions in between
He thought that by loving everyone
he'll learn what true love means
She was a girl who hated everyone
and he was a boy who found his one
two broken children happened to love
each other and a story thus begun
But the boy had to leave
for somewhere she couldn't go
so she said :"I'll catch up,
we'll see each other soon, you know."
She thought that she could keep on living
though he was miles away
He thought that by loving her
that she'll always stay
There is no happy ending
since the story is not complete
because the girl is still catching up
to the lover whom she'll soon meet

Harsh chiseled words of rock rolled like heavy boulders
across her tongue aiming at not just his ears
but his heart
A clustered mess of hellfire pulled the trigger
to his lips and shut them up.
She fired poisoned arrows of hurt yet
He swallowed them only to be slightly wounded and bleed tears
as she sighed a million sighs and bled with him
creating a salty river of drifting emotions crashing waves
The child watched alone from her crevice of the door
wondering exactly why they are waging war
and what for
and that day her little heart slowed a few milliseconds
and her eyes dimmed
when she heard the word 'divorce'
though she did not know what it really meant.

She danced into diamonds gifted from the sun
She could even disappear, as long as
she stays long enough to be a bother.
Yet the sunlight needed her,
and so she would give all she had and her existence for him.
Yet, she was diminishing the passionate hearths and proud blazes with her embrace.
She was patient, as she carved canyons and rocks over the course of millions of years.
She sang
the lullaby of life as she cradled fishes in her bosom
and boats on her palms.

Your eyes do not reflect
Nor do your lips seek soft sweet whispers from mine
My hands have never been warmed by yours
My lips stitched tight, though
there are times I wish to cut those seams
To tell you the words
My heart has been trying to hide,
Yet my mind whispers,
"Not yet, not yet."

Vague as fog , yet clear like quartz
Like promises built on glass floors glistening before they shatter
Unpredictable tides bringing seashells home and
of Summer to December. You wake me up with
the sound of your heartbeat against mine ,
like the fluttering of the butterfly
as it lands it's silken wings against my lips.
Like an ocean that refuses
to stop kissing the shore, no matter
how many times it is sent away.
Gentle as a doe yet you pain me more
than a million deaths may bore.
